I don't know- I've noticed it's really common with the recently retired stuff to get NIB outfits but missing all the small parts- shoes, etc. It's easy to find the BB Beautiful Blooms dress/hat but none are coming with shoes. Same goes for the skateboard outfit, which I just bought. I'm guessing factory seconds? Or something like?

I know the ones I've bought are from a woman who gets them factory direct. Some of them have AG tags, some of the tags are clipped and some are gone, so they must be seconds, but she guarantees authenticity. I've only had one noticeable flaw on one thing I've gotten from her, and she replaced the dress immediately (and sent a free nightgown for my trouble). I know she sometimes gets 20 or so of an outfit at once. She usually doesn't have anything but the dress, or maybe dress and hat. My girls don't usually bother to put shoes on their dolls (and they have about 10 AG pair of shoes already, from outfits we bought through AG), so this arrangement is just perfect for me. She usually sells me the dresses for 10-12 each, a little less on some.

I've noticed this too, and did get a few of what I thought were probably seconds a while back - I thought they were great quality and I couldn't tell them from an orignal AG outfit (all but one had tags), but it would have been nice to have shoes too.

It seems to me, though, that there's been an upswing in the number of outfits like this out there lately - anyone agree?

We have been to the oshkosh store a couple of times. Someof the outfits there are missing the shoes of accessories. Perhaps she is getting them from there. Another thing I've noticed- there is a craft mall by my home and there is a seller there that has clothes for bitty and AG. She carries pajamas that are identical to Kit, Molly, Samantha and Nellie. No tags though. Is there a knockoff market for these things also?

I was just thinking...when things are at the oshgosh outlet do they always come with all the pieces? Perhaps some things are from there as well as factory direct.

    Question

Somebody mentioned this earlier about Felicity Tea gowns being sold (on ebay) without shoes (or accesories for that matter). I am starting to notice a rise in this in other outfits, the current outdoor outfit for today girls, the butterfly brocade (I saw one), and a few others. What is going on? Are they possibly hand made dresses where they are using pictures from AG website. Or something else. I've been trying to figure this out, but it does make it so you read the whole description.
